Tuesday of the Eleventh Week of Ordinary Time

Nothing special besides it being a faithful gift from God. Today at work we went up to work in our sugarbeet field in St. Thomas, ND. For those of you like me, who have no idea where that it is, it is about 2 hours and 15 minutes north of Fargo. It’s only about 20 miles from the Canadian border. With a four and a half hour round trip, we spend almost half of our day in a car! It gives me time to sleep and time to just think. On the way up I tried praying the rosary but fell asleep. On the way back, I got to drive (I miss being behind the wheel. I hope that ends soon…). I just looked out at the open North Dakota plains, and thought about how good God is. How huge this world is, the immense knowledge and wisdom and power it would take just to fashion that tiny sliver of creation from St. Thomas to Fargo and how much more knowledge, wisdom, and power it took to make the whole entire universe.

Great thing is that we only took a 15 minute break today and so we were able to leave 45 minutes early from work when we got back and so I was able to go to Mass today which never happens on days when I work, so that was cool. Today was really good!
